Trek from Nayapul to Ulleri |
Accommodation: Mountain Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast
The first bit is a steep climb to Ulleri, and is also the hardest part of the day (and of the trek, for that matter). Today is mostly uphill through lovely, peaceful forests. Before we know it, we reach Ghorepani, a large town on a hill ridge. Enjoy views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountains from here!
Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani |
Accommodation: Mountain Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast
A predawn walk from Ghorepani takes us up to Poon Hill on a 1-hour walk. Watch the colors of the sky change, and reveal the outlines of the giant Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, completely unobstructed. Behind you are rolling hills. Be in awe of the mountains that turn bright orange before the first rays of the run finally land on the towering summits. About half an hour after the sunrise, we head back to Ghorepani, and then continue on the trails to Tadapani. We get to see several waterfalls and streams on the way.

Accommodation: Mountain Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast
The trails today are mostly downhill through rhododendron forests, all the way to Ghandruk – a large Gurung settlement. Gurung is an ethnicity of Nepal, with their own culture, dialect and lifestyle. On gradual slopes of a hill, Ghandruk is perfect to gaze at the mountains from. Annapurna South, Hiuchuli and Machhapuchare mountains are seen right across the valley.

Meals Included: Breakfast
After exploring Ghandruk in the morning and watching the sunrise on the mountains, drive back to Pokhara. The first part till Nayapul is dirt road and bumpy, while the second is on proper highway. Once in Pokhara, we have some time to walk by the lake, then off we go to the airport to catch our flight to Kathmandu.

We will also send you a list of relevant emergency contacts before the trip starts.
Please don’t litter, and also dispose any trash properly (you can hand them to your guide). Plucking flowers and vandalizing trails is off limits. We’ll leave the beautiful trails as we found them.
Heavy alcohol consumption dehydrates your body and doesn’t pair well with trekking for obvious safety reasons. We recommend you limit your alcohol intake to a minimal amount during day time. Let’s wait till the evening to raise a glass or two.
It’s advisable to ask permission of the locals before taking their photos, although by experience we can tell that they love being photographed. Strict drone policies are enforced throughout Nepal – so please don’t fly drones on the trip.
What makes group travel fun is the diversity. This also means that there will be people of all different ages, physical fitness, and walking pace. Please be mindful and respect the time allocated by your lead guide to avoid any inconvenience to the group.

For this reason, please set aside Rs. 20,000 as reserve fund.
A service charge with tips are included by most hotels and eateries in their bills.

Giving money and handouts to beggars, especially children, is highly discouraged.
All national parks and many hotels do not allow pets inside their premises. There are also stray dogs in most villages, which can lead to attacks and dog fights. We therefore don’t allow pets on the treks for safety reasons.
